The State of EJMR: October
As Karlstack hits 1200 free sign-ups, it is worth reflecting on the first ~100. They were mostly from EJMR, so at that time it made sense to write a monthly EJMR roundup to cater to them. I received plenty of positive feedback from economists, sociologists, and political scientist who said that my monthly roundup added value to their lives because they wanted to stay abreast of the latest EJMR news, but didn’t have time to constantly refresh the website.
As my mainstream readership grows, writing about EJMR every month becomes increasingly more niche and out of place. I enjoy the creative exercise of writing these posts, and I feel they provide value, but I don’t really want to send an email to 1200 people who don’t know or care about EJMR. Therefore I am putting this out for paying subscribers only, for people who want to opt-in to the extra content. Welcome to my first paywalled article! There are plenty more paywalled posts in the pipeline that I will be putting out soon. This one is a short/quick read.
