‘‘Jenin and Mel talk with independent investigative journalist Chris Brunet about his journey from darling of the anti-woke Right to think-tank outcast in less than a year when his commitment to truth in journalism touched the third rail of conservative media: America's unquestionable support for Israel.’’
I wasn't aware of christian zionists until a few years ago, and now I see them everywhere and I'm appalled. Friends, family members, all smug in the knowledge that by cheering on genocide they're helping God accomplish his goals. I don't know how this could be loopier, and I don't know how anyone who claims to 'follow Christ' (as they all do) could possibly condone this. I've heard it said that the IQ level there isn't high.
What a weird revision of history. Brunet was once awarded an unpaid fellowship by the Manhattan Institute, which they rescinded two months later after finding out his mentaI illness made him too difficult to deal with. He's a French Canadian tweeter. Hardly "a darling of the anti-woke right" before, nor an "outcast" after.
Nor is he an "investigative journalist". Scribbling out a few substack articles each month as an unemployed mentaI patient living in mom's basement isn't "investigative journalism".
There's nothing like an ad hominem attack to reveal the true character of someone. It's the true sign of someone who can't put two sentences together and can't present their own point of view.
Since my comments are directed at the exaggeration of Brunet's credentials and his role at the Manhattan Institue (which can be independently verified as facts), I guess you could just dismiss them as being "ad hominem attacks".
I'm pretty sure I put those two sentences together myself to express my point of view on that matter.
Pope Paul...the name tells you everything you need to know. Overblown sense of self and begs you to believe he spouts truth. Fact is he's nothing but a lonely, miserable troll. Check out his profile, it's devoid of anything but one subscription and it's to this Substack. That's some serious comedy right there.
There is a funny way in which your trajectory on the right is very much like Greta’s on the left: a rising young star being groomed for a place in the existing firmament of correct opinion who instead went rogue. Inspiring.
at least Elise Stefanic was able to conduct an interrogation of three presidents of universities and did it well enough to find the truth. You, our squeaky voiced little nothing that nobody has ever heard of and you're criticizing Elise? Grow up
Not sure I’d describe it as an onslaught. It think a rebalancing was overdue. Especially in light of the insane pro Hamas narrative in the media, on campuses and across much of the left.

This comment is exactly what they're talking about.
