Sounds like your "Conservative Party" has been infiltrated by Communists, and is basically now masquerading as controlled opposition. Probably time to start a new party....

Maxime Bernier did. People's party of Canada

Unfortunately their support is too diffuse to get even a single seat in parliament. Admittedly the PPC has grown rapidly since it's founding, so perhaps there's some hope there - but I don't think Canada has long enough for a minor party to grow itself to sufficient size to become a major force in the House of Commons.

As long as the conservatives arent conservative, I don't see any choice but to vote PPC and, admittedly, re-elect Trudeau. Woke loves to call itself the opposite of what it is.

At this point the best remaining alternative is separation. Carve off the provinces that can still be salvaged, and abandon the rest to their fate.

Although provincial conservatives don't seem any more conservative than their federal counterparts.

...and I thought the GOP was bad. Christ.

"Imagine for one minute if I personally were to spend my time yelling these exact same quotes at a senior scholar in the economics profession. Would you pat me on the back and tell me I was doing a good job, as her #EconTwitter “friends” are doing? Or would you tell me to sit down like a petulant child that I am?"

I still don't understand why everyone keeps falling for the CPC? Was it not apparent three leaders ago that they are controlled opposition?

The CPC is such a joke. I'd love to believe that there's some possibility of a Canadian Trump - but I suspect you're right that Canadians are simply too dominated by the normie demographic.

Canada's future may not be white, but I'm skeptical Canada has a future tbh.

I do enjoy your rants.

The CPC has always seemed a bit weak kneed to me. I'm not Canadian, but it's been my impression that they try way too hard to not offend anyone, and always end up compromising their values in the process.

The party is a result of the Reform party of Canada being convinced to take on the Conservative party and merge. That's where Harper came from. Then the "Ottawa swamp" got ahold of the party and now it's just the Liberal Light party. They don't have policy, they have polls.

there is only one party in canada anti-people uniparty. just like efing usa.

I found this an odd comment regarding Pierre Poilivre :

" Sure, he “fires up the base,” but take a look at the base: old and white. That is simply not the future of Canada. That is the past. He is destined to lead an ever-shrinking percentage of conservatives into irrelevance."

That's exactly what they said about Trump. And look, lo and behold, it's not just old white folks who like Trump's policies...imagine that.

Now, mind you, I was faked into thinking Steven Harper was a conservative, as I was about George W Bush too. So, my political instincts are suspect. BUTTTT... what's the alternative? A Canadian version of Nikki Haley???

No thanks

".. what's the alternative"

in my opinion there is no good alternative. Canada just isn't a conservative country, the party and leader will always be toothless
